Previous Romsey and Lancefield exploration licence – STOPPED
In 2018 a Perth-based company has applied for a mining exploration licence near Romsey and Lancefield, and thanks for the efforts of over 5000 petitioners and media awareness by celebrity Tom Gleeson; it was stopped.
Tom says “There are over 60,000 abandoned mine sites in Australia and only 21 have been rehabilitated, part of the ongoing phenomenon of mine abandonment in Australia. So I find mining companies very hard to trust, and have no reason to trust this one.”
Stopping exploration stopped potential mining.
